so the doc gave me librium

Some of you know I am new to recovery. Or the concept of honesty. But after a hellish week of being honest, getting appointments and bllodtests, I have been put on Librium - 10mg 4 times a day.
Anyone have any experience in this?

The doc told me to stop drinking and the librium will keep me out of withdrawl....

Ive dropped to 2 a day, for a while i was drinking the 0.05 alcohol to give my hands what to do, but ive stopped that too. I realised it was never doing anything. was to close to leading the road to real drink - i ran out of non alcohol alcohol one night and started eyeing up my b/f beers thinking one wont hurt.

But update is, its 22 days since prescribed them. I had a few glasses of wine the first night, then 6 free days, a whoopsy, but ive 12 clean days behind me, and i reduced my pills to 2 a day.

Hoping to see the doc on wed when i run out of pills, but i dont physically crave, just pschologically.
