Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
that sounds egotistical..........but He knows my pain threshold. and i know eventually i will break..............but for now we are butting heads..............
just a wink...............He knows my love and respect for things i don't understand.
Good topic, gjm! Just remembering the pain of 3 bouts of my pancreatitis and me having to roll my husband's dead body over, after he had died of liver failure at age 53, in our bed: those help keep me sober.
Sorry folks, I'll put the grim reaper away, but gjm gave good topic tonight. Makes me thankful and keeps my on my toes.
This also means that I will stay aware of what the REAL problem in alcoholism is - the spiritual malady. If I remind myself each day that I can't drink and go to meetings to be reminded of what it was like, or would be like if I drank then my focus is in the wrong place.
Stay that way too long and a relapse is inevitable.
