Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I had a bad day at work and I'm slipping. I'm at the bar having a glass of wine. I was suppose to have surgury 2 months ago.
Just about the time I was going to tell my boss, she got diagnosed with cancer. Obviously her condition takes priority over mine but, as soon as I have clearance from the insurance company, I need mine. If I put it off longer it could kill me.
I have not mentioned this to her or anyone. I dont want to burden anyone. She was suppose to be training me for her position however the lady at the front desk quit so I was moved into her position. My training was halted. This job has been good, but, it's been disappointing too. More disappointing than good. I'm stressed out. It's made me think about my life and question myself.
My love life....I went thru a bad breakup in July and moved back in with old roommate/ex boyfriend after the apartment I leased went sideways from being infested. I'm trying to be happy and be grateful but it's hard. I miss the love of my life. My roommate and I had been off and on for a couple of years. I'm not in love with him but i do love him. He says he loves me but I'm thinking....we sleep in seperate beds, have no sex life. I mentioned to him that maybe I'm the reason he cant physically have sex. Maybe he loves me but is not in love with me. I'd be happy to know if another woman attracted him, atleast I'd know if it were me or not.
I need to have a talk with roommate and tell him that I know he loves me but I dont think it's the love I want or need. I'm just a mess....everything's a fuc$ing mess.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It seems men are your priority and focus, when instead you are not making yourself the priority. Unless you do, you will continue to attract the same type of man and will live the rest of your life in this toxicity and pain.
I really suggest you look up AA and start the steps, get a sponsor, and just worry about you.
I am very honest, as no sense pussy footing around when this drama seems to continue on and on for you, if he doesn't want to have sex with you, that is telling you something, and a giant red flag for you to move on - you love him, but not in love with him, he is a friend, that's it - you need to let go for your own sake and learn to love yourself take care
So just forgive yourself and start over, but watch how you deal with the stresses in your life and be aware that you are self medicating your sadness with alcohol, so you won't have to feel the emotional pain, and you don't have to do that. Find someone ...an AA sponsor or a friend you can call when you are feeling depressed..... Shit happens in this life, That's what life is and there are other ways to deal with it that are not self destructive. Talking about it certainly helps so keep doing that until it no longer works for you. That's what I did.
Eventually, I got tired of the roller coaster ride and I drove myself to the local hospital emergency room and I asked for help. That was the first day of my recovery.
Have a happy Holiday
God Bless
Next time go for a walk and learn to enjoy your own company. Hang in there
