Second meeting today

I went again at lunch. There were a lot more people today. They handed out popsicle sticks with words written on them. Which I had no idea what was going on with that lol but the word is the topic I guess, when people share. I heard so many people speak and it made me feel more comfortable being there. I didn't really want to speak as I just started getting sober again. But someone picked me! It wasn't that bad so I said a few things then passed. I have met a lot of nice people. Thankful I have found the rooms again.

Wow! I’m happy for you. Keep the momentum going! I am continually amazed that we can become who we are meant to be just by putting in effort each day. Work that sobriety like its the most important thing you’ve ever done.

It took me about a month before I was brave enough to share and that was when I raised my hand and asked a question and for the next 45 minutes, most of the people there, took turns answering my question! I was blown away at how helpful everyone was!

That was also how I got my first sponsor. After the meeting a guy named Bill offered to sponsor me. He helped me alot.

Thanks everyone. I’m starting to realize I’m not alone, but that’s a hard feeling to shake. I guess I just got really good at secluding myself.

Alcoholics are good isolators. It is an amazing feeling to emerge from that.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
