Okay, this is something I feel like I can not ask in the rooms of AA, or my sponsor...I do not want to offend anyone!!! And I do know that I can relate to AA sooo much! So much more than I can not BUT there is one thing that I keep thinking about...
Ugh, maybe it is just me trying to find differences..."the loop hole" as my sponsor would say....But there are a lot of people in AA who are there because of drugs...And while I know addiction is addiction and I do NOT judge these people it does make...I don't know...maybe it bothering me because I feel like I am almost hearing more about the drugs than the alcohol.....It seem like almost everyone I hear from lately has drugs in thier story...And I am sure they down play them as well........
Okay I guess my point is, is that I feel like it been AWHILE since, in the meetings I go to, I have heard from someone who ONLY had a problem with alcohol....
I am so sorry if I seem judgemental at all, I promise I am not and I know I can still relate, I know that addiction is addiction but when it comes to really finding that person and being like "wow, I can really relate to them!" I just dont feel that, for the most part....
Okay, I mean I do, I love AA and I know we all had the same emotional stories and it does feel awesome to be involved and I am grateful...
So, to be so long winded, I really someone can understand where I am coming from....or maybe I do need to be put in my place, I am not sure...

never once in a meeting or talking to folks in AA has it even been brought up, but maybe they don't feel comfortable enough around me, I don't know, but that just seems bizarre to me.
I try not to judge others too but Nothing would be "okay" for me. Nothing mind altering or mood altering. Even though Alcohol is my drug of choice, I think anything that disrupted my brain would lead me back to my old friend adn I want no part of it.
I'm having too much fun sober to risk losing it all by getting stoned. Know what I mean?
To each his own, if you can smoke pot and it doesn't cause problems in your life, smoke pot. I can't so I won't but if you choose to, that's your call and I won't fault you for it.
Some of my best friends are die hard pot heads. :)
If I were in Germany I would be proud to sit by your wife and you at AA.
Me and and a life long Heroin addict ain't gonna relate though. Apples and oranges.
