Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
PM, you know who...he should be able to tell you. He is the one that came up with it.
That ought'a stir things up.
Someone who stops drinking but doesn't change anything else about themselves. The man who used to come home and slap his wife, kick his dog, grab a beer and hit the recliner now comes home and slaps his wife, kicks his dog, grabs a soda and hits the recliner.
That's all I've got to say!!!!!!!!!
I PROMISE!
OK, NOW I'm outta here!!
(Now I'm going to be called a lier AND a dry drink. :(
Kinda like Bolean.
Dry drunks can come as someone that thinks they know-it-all and that it has to be done his way.
" I am a fry drunk, so a few people have implied.. I have been drinking, for more than half of my life, at all hoours of the day.. I have been 2 a few AA meetings, but because I choose not to. I am a Dry Drunk. All though, I have changed my ways, I am a better person, I go to church, I have excepted, all the wrong and hurt I have caused to others, I hve been to treatment. I have done many things, not just stop drinking, to better my loife. I still have some issues, but I am dealing with them, vs coping when I drank.. I owe nothing 2 others, only to myself.. Love and Peace.. Life is just one damn thing after another. It challenges me.."
IMNSHO a person can go to church and learn to not be the old person or even for some, not go to church but have enough introspection to know their own faults that need to be worked on.
AA isn't the only way to get fixed.
