Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Just send good thoughts, vibes, prayers my way. I'm not in a good spot. I've been on a non-stop morphine, Ativan and vodka bender the past couple of days. I'm really not okay, and I'm trying my hardest to hang on and stay positive. This is basically a cry for (non-institutionalized) help.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

You are very young and with intensive help you could move on from this and lead a very productive and happy life. It's not going to happen on it's own, though - hard work is inevitable. I know you have said that you are adverse to AA and in-patient so have you tried counselling? Have you told your doctor what you are going through? It's very hard to kick this kind of addictive behaviour without some kind of support. I hope you reconsider because if not you are facing a long road of misery and struggle ahead of you.
Most of us that are on this board have a decade or two on you and would LOVE to go back and tell our younger selves to GET HELP NO MATTER WHAT THE COST. Don't waste your life on this shit.

I'm so sorry you're suffering right now. If you truly want this nightmare to end, you must be willing to do whatever it takes. Have you looked into the resources available in your area to help you be the best you possible?

Good luck. Choose well.
Years from now, you will share your story of sobriety with others and they will be helped. Many women can identify. You could potentially save many lives....but you have to be will to do, everything you need to do to get the help you need to stay sober!
Keep in touch!
God Bless!
