The ground's white here.I remember when I was a month sober.My sponsor was driving us to a meeting a good distance from home,there was 3"of snow on the road.I said we were crazy for doing that-he replied "you have done a heluva lot worse than this to get a drink,haven't you?"He was right.Let it snow,I'm not gonna miss a meeting.

me and mine live in spokane, washington, and snow should start coming anytime now. probably in the next month or so. we usually have white holidays here. i'm not so big on snow, though. maybe because i don't really know how to have fun. i know it sounds weird, but i've always been so serious and always had to be the one to take care of stuff. so, hopefully, someday i'll learn to have some real fun. they say that can definitely be done in the snow.

When we get a hint that there MIGHT be the teeniest bit of snow, the state shuts down.

Nothing is open, grocery stores run out of bread and propane the night before and it's all over the news, schools are closed. It's ridiculous I admit, but I've never lived anywhere else and would NOT be capable of driving in those conditions.

Most times it turns out to be false alarms, the last big snow storm we had was in 1993 or 1994 I think. I miss snow...

We've had snow flurries 2x, but that's all. It's so cold here though! (20's tonight!)

Holycrap. when it snows like that in the UK, the whole damn COUNTRY closes down! The trains don't work, the buses don't run, our citizens start stockpiling food, no one can find a shovel so we all fall on our ass!

I just realised the last REALLY big snowfall I saw was in 2006 when we went to New York, it was fabulous.

Give me cold anytime over heat. I wanted to go the next world convention but it's in San Antonio (no offence folks) a friend of ours who lives in Dallas replied when I asked him if SA was hot 'It's hotter'n hell sister.' If they ever hold the convention in some nice chilly place, I might get there!

Snow was about 32 celcius today shorts, thongs, t shirt, iced tea very nice. I prefer the no snow climate give me the sun anytime.

There was a brief flurry last night but that's been it and I live in southern VT. We generally get 4 big snowstorms a winter but no continuing snow. It takes a month to dig out from the first big storm. Been pretty quiet really, My parents live in the Great Lakes and they just got blasted. I'm happy I don't live there anymore.

There were a few tiny flakes this morning here in Philly area. The first I've seen. I can't wait til it snows - the dogs are a riot, acting like snow plows with their noses barrelling through, catching snow balls. I love to snow ski too. I hope we get some accumulation though D. is a horrible driver in clear weather... and I can't drive! Yikes!

It's been like summer in Calif.
But what's nice about Calif is that if we want snow it's not that far away. At least where I live.
I could be in snow in 4 hours if I wanted to but I'm too scared of winter sports. Seen too many accidents.
Walking in the snow is a great workout. But then...so is walking on the beach....
Oh it's just too difficult in Calif.

Woe is me.

No snow in Coogee. I've friends who go to the States for Xmas and they tell me it's beautiful in the snow. I'm putting that on my bucket list.

My family lives in MN and WI.
There is absolutely nothing like being out in the country at midnight, in the snow, with the moon and stars out.
It is magical.
Just like those glittery x-mas cards.
And when the bare trees and every limb is enclosed in ice like glass it truly is a sight to behold.

A beautiful day in Utah today.

The snow will be here soon enough.. really grateful for the 2 car garage... no scraping windows or warming up the car in the morning, just get in and go.

And to think that just 7 years ago I was busing it to the grocery store and grateful for the bus fare.

I've been blessed in many ways in sobriety...but I've worked very hard at trying to do the next right thing.
