Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I had to be highly motivated to do everything it took to stay sober because I had lost my job, my marriage, and had financial problems among other things. I was as low as I could go so I was very motivated and I used the tools I was taught to help me stay sober. It was not easy, at all, but the harder I worked on myself, the better my life got.
I went to AA meetings, got a sponsor who spoke to me daily which helped me the most during those first few months when my sobriety was still in a fragile state. Without him, I probably wouldn't have made it.
Sometimes it takes more then one trip through rehab. The nurse in detox once told me after I asked her how business was and she said, it's a revolving door.....It was after my second stay in detox that became my last stay. I told them that as much as I liked them, they would never see me again and so far, fingers crossed, I have been able to keep that promise!
I don't want to give advice but my suggestion is to take care of yourself, first and foremost.
God Bless
Please take care of yourself.
Definitely take care of yourself. Seeing you doing your best to live a healthy lifestyle is a good way to help him and to be able to better handle whatever may come.
