Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
lol
Others: I do agree I need to get on a program and I have accepted I am powerless over alcohol. I've tried it my way for so many years and it just ain't working out.
I have surrendered.
Thanks for some wonderful insight, you all.

Triggers will always be there. If I wanted to drink again, I am sure I could find one near by to blame it on.
Staying stopped has little to do with managing triggers and everything to do with practicing Spiritual Principles.
"Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly follows our path......"
May we remember to follow the path.
The disease is always doing push ups -- BUT -- My Higher Power neer slumbers nor sleeps -- He has my back, if I let him....
............still looking for the prize.
I dont go to places that have alot of alcohol, like clubs or parties. I have no intrest in those places anymore. And I still enjoy myself with out it.
I really feel ( for me ) that if I didnt have my God in my life , I would still be a suffering alcoholic. But instead I am a sober alcoholic.
Wait, here's one for you...the gas stations in our area have come up with a walk in beer cooler with motion sensor, automatic doors....lol.....talk about a trigger....I was just walking past the cooler when those doors opened.
Talk about an invitation! I think I heard "Mu-wha-ha-haaa" from somewhere in the distance. I now try my best to avoid walking past those doors.
