Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

So, I fell off the wagon...hard. I quit for a month, and like an idiot thought I could have one. Here we are, almost a month of drunkenness over the holiday season. I kept telling myself that I'd wait until the new year, but I don't want to wait. It stops today. Not looking forward to withdrawals over Christmas, but can't keep making excuses. No better day than today to start over in my sober journey! Prayers appreciated!

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It took me a long time to understand that it is not willpower once, I have the first drink. I had many start days. Since I quit for good, I took a science course about addiction. I learned that the compulsion is hard wired in the brain. The only thing that we have will power over is the obsession to have the first drink.
Years from now, you will look back this time and remember why you relapsed and the steps you took to avoid it from happening again!
You will share this knowledge with others who will identify with the stresses of the Holiday season. You will save many lives!
God Bless!.
Be a moving target. You stand still and your done.
Get some coping skills somewhere, they are invaluable.

We are here for you.
Great to hear that you are back (not that I knew you before because I'm new lol) I too am suffering withdrawals over Christmas but its not a bad time to put the plug in the jug.
Start clean tomorrow with hope.
I am glad to see you came back so soon... and are letting it be known that you are committed to staying sober. Keep coming back!
