Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Hi Folks!
You all may or may not know me, but my name is Jesse and I work in the Member Care department here at DailyStrength.
About a month ago we created a feature for the "Depression" support group, called "Community Leaders". Community Leaders are members who will be here to help encourage positive member interaction, member involvement, and foster a sense of community at DailyStrength. Along with helping members obtain and receive positive support, Community Leaders greet new members, find emerging trends, offer advice to members who post discussion topics, and also help us locate clear cases of abuse and spam.
You can recognize Community Leaders by a "CL" avatar badge, similar to the Team DS badge you see next my avatar.
The Community Leader feature was a tremendous success in the Depression support group, so we're going to be adding Community Leaders for additional support groups!!! To start things off, I am very pleased to announce krm as the first Community Leader for the "Alcoholism" support group. krm has continually offered exemplary advice and support to other members on the site. So starting immediately youll see the Community Leader badge next his avatar!
I should note that while the Community Leader badge will be visible across the entire site, for now krm will focus on being a Community Leader for the Alcoholsim Support Group.
Were currently recruiting additional vibrant members such as krm for this role, and well be sure to notify you all when this happens. In the meantime, lets give krm a big high-five and congratulate him for taking on this new role.
CLOSING TOPICS:
Community Leaders will also have the ability to Close Topics. Topics which have been closed will still be visible on the boards, but will no longer allow new replies.
Team DS and the Community Leaders can use this tool to help curtail clear cases of abuse (such as spammers and trolls). If a CL has closed a topic, he/she can send Team DS a message notifying us that theyve closed a topic. Well then be able to review the threads and determine whether or not they should be deleted, re-opened or remain closed.
Underneath the original closed topic youll see some text which reads, This Discussion is Closed". The Team DS member or Community Leader who closed the thread will be able to add a note in order to provide more details. This note can be found directly underneath the This Discussion is Closed text.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Sometimes works, sometimes it just opens wounds that have long ago healed.
This could be an interesting addition that I'm sure, only time will tell.
Could KRM introduce him/herself to us that are relatively new?
And I like the idea of closing some topics as I have found a few to be distressingly negative at times.

I think posts should automatically close after 30 days, but I fear as a moderator it is by definition one persons view,So a little uneasy with it, but I am all for investigation, before castigation...
PS..what is a troll, I am from UK, and was called that for my first two months until I changed my avatar..Hmmm.May change back..
