Need more CL's?

I believe its time we have additional CL's for this group. This group is just to big to be handled by just one person. Jim has mentioned tonight on a thread he can't be on all the times and it seems the board is getting increasingly toxic on some threads and we need to think of the newcomer coming on the site looking for help.

Here is what I propose is having Coogeemum and Jackthedipster added to the CL list so it can be monitored more and at least 2 of three decide if something should be closed.

Whats everyone's thoughts? This post will be bumped for 24 hours so it doesn't get lost and hopefully most the people that come here daily will have a chance to voice his or her opinion?

Please lets not have any controversy, we are grown adults here and there is no need to attack any one because of there decision on this matter.

Again do you or don't you agree to have Coogeemum and Jackthedipster added on as CL's?

What a great idea, I think representatives from all areas and beliefs would be beneficial. Sometimes in the middle of the night when I can't sleep the Auggies are there for me!!!!! :-) No one person should have to watch over all of these threads. Some are very negative towards specific people...that is not a good thing. Some are life threatening, such as my own post, truly I needed help and this site was there for me. My vote is for more assistance for Jim. Alice

To those that agree with CM & Jack being added I feel it would be very helpful that they send DS a email suggesting those two be added as CL'S. If you have any questions how to do this feel free to PM me & I will tell you what to do.

I'm not so much the "freqent flyer" of this domain...I log on, on occasion. Toxic is frequent in any recovery, live AA meetings too, group...ie...dispirite...helplessness..depression. I think whatever is healthy for this site and recovery chat of many should have "elders" or people to help direct attacks or people attacked to a healthy perspectictive and to healthy people who CARE. I don't think judging people or judging comments of others is necessary. Freedom of speech I say. The "mean "guy is only an example of behavior a choice, a way to any of us. To not include that, or the input, might make you think you want euphoira. Alcoholism is not that....it's ugly...it's rude...it's disfunctional, to forget that part is to forget the pain or the discomfort of why I want to be sober. I don't want to be like this person...or treat that person that way. With pain comes the healing. Uncomfortable? Yep...should this be a safe place to come? Yes and Yes. But no to sensorship. Take what you need , leave the rest. God helps those who help themselves. You have to want recovery, be proactive in recovery and take only what will help you to recover. Always remember the person on the other end of the key board is just another human being. You can't install the mentor. Monitors or not. Good luck. I had no idea this site was in bad spiritual shape or under attack by alcoholics...lol. Be safe, Be kind, treat someone how you want to be treated and above all...don't hold back.
