Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

My 21 year old son called yesterday, & I could tell he had been drinking pretty heavily. I told him that I had been praying for him, & that opened up a huge can of worms. He says he doesn't believe in Jesus or God, & in fact, hates himself, & was putting himself down a lot. I told him I no longer want to talk to him when he is drunk, & openly mocks God to me. I had been feeling pretty good for about a week, that brought me down again. I'm not sure how much more of this I can deal with. He still refuses to go to rehab...sigh...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Let it go. There is nothing you can do. In fact, trying to do something is making the problem worse.
Don't talk to him about God and Jesus. He has a right to his own beliefs. Let him know that. He needs his own space and time, his own beliefs.
I'm sure that would bring anybody down. However, you must think about yourself right now and let it be. If you are nagging him and trying to make him believe how you think he should believe - it will not work. Let your son go.
The only thing you can do for your son is place him in the Hands of God and continue to pray for him.
We will keep you and him in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless!
Sorry you are dealing with a drunken son -- I know how difficult it is to deal with a loved one with a drinking problem.
