Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I had blood work done on Friday. I can access my health records online and yesterday they were still pending. This morning the results are in.. Everything is normal or above. my cholesterol and live enzymes. So either the fatty liver is better or gone, however I also know you can have good test results and still have a diseased liver. Either way, I am thankful for 6 weeks sober and have no intentions of drinking just because of the good results. I am feeling way too good to go back to it. Hopefully this feeling last and makes me move only forward with my sobriety.
Thanks everyone for listening to me vent when I was fearful about my tests

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I had a similar situation. My liver enzymes were edging up and at my last annual exam, everything was back into normal range.
God Bless!
At any rate...CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! I am so happy and proud of you and Thank You SO much for your positive message! I really needed this.
That was three years ago. I went on a prodigious bender that week and by sunday morning was thru.... I was going to kill myself or ... a thought hit me... go to aa. I cant believe it but I have hot had the need to drink since that day.
I have the test results saved in a drawer and they show numbers super high and then about 6 months after quitting they are about normal and 1 year they are normal and have remained that way.
I wasnt able to do it alone , though. I found a safe place that had a bunch of ppl that had recovered and they taught me to live wihtout alcohol. It wasnt always easy , but the result is that I dont have to drink today.
You can get sober, not just quit drinking ,, Cmon!!
