Its my Birthday and I'll be Dry If I Want To

Today I turn 49. It was of course an excellent reason most years to get black out crazy drunk. But this year sobriety is important. Seeing 50 is important and so I'm choosing not to drink. Driving to work this am the sun was coming up on the Montana prairie and I thought how lucky I am to be alive and how wonderful life can be sober. Im feeling great today and happy to be sober and happy to have DS for a source of much needed support:)

i agree great post. Even after 2 days of being sober i am starting to feel better in my mind. Not waking up a little groggy, having a clear head. I am enjoying every bit of it and going to keep going.

Happy birthday, think we are all a bit blessed to be sober. Early days someone said to me remember to smell the roses. Guess for me that means do not to forget to enjoy your sobriety. sometimes just sit back do nothing and just enjoy being in the moment.

happy Birthday...49 is one of those we seem to notice...especially if we are sober...one before 50 yup but add drunk driving to that and there may not be a 50 or it might be spent in jails or institutions....yup keep the plug in the jug...

    So mad at Xfinity!  They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today!  Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...
