Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
just read your post of yeserday and read the excelent repleys just to add my experiance. i have been sober for just over two yeas now idid six months prior to that by just using antiuse this worked ok for six moths then i started the self pity trail and soon i wasnt takng my tablets definatly had a planned relapse (something you may learn of in aa) i then spireled into the worst drinking binge of my 36 drinking years. when i came out of that binge apart from realising my alcoholism had reached a new low i felt totally iscolated luckily i had briefly attended aa in a previous year at this all time low for me something drew me back i went in totally mentally phsyicaly and spiritully broken i was amased at how friendly warm and helpfull people were. i felt no pressure to do anythng but recived a warm welcome i contiued to atend a few meetings in my area and slowly began to make new friends 2years later im still very involved in my group though i havent done the steps yet but do have a few confindantes to speak to on a one to one i don know how i would have coped with the last 2 years without my friends in aa i attend aa in the uk but ive been to meeings in spain and its just the same im sure you will get some benafit ashley well done so far every day is an adventure when were sober rielinox
There are many different types of meetings, you will find one that suits you. I could not have stayed sober without the meetings, (14 years)It was and is my life line.Dont worry about the steps you have plenty of time. The 1st one is the most important at this moment. I will be thinking of you.
