Agree with leaving the mobile at home Anna. This is time to focus on your healing and do what's right for you. Don't risk this opportunity being diverted by outside influences. Those who matter and care will still be here in 30 days. Our love and support will be with you. As for debt, that too may still be there in 30 days, but then so will you, and you can deal with it then. Without sobriety your life will spiral, with sobriety you can climb mountains. Give it your best.

Jealous? I get what you mean. I feel fortunate. But in case you're wondering, I am taking $20 in credit card debt to do this. I don't have the money and my husband has been unemployed for almost 2 yrs. I am going to be paying this off for a long time.

I still feel relieved and fortunate. I just hope it gets me the jumpstart I need to stay sober. I have been putting this off, thinking I don't need to go to this length, but reality hit me hard this last bender. I would pay any amount of money and do ANYTHING to make this stick this time. This is my chance. I don't think I will survive another drink. I just can't stand the misery it brings.

Chris... Phone and laptop are staying home. I am in this 100% and going to bust my ass to get it right.

CD... I am beyond getting pissed off. Think I'll be more of a doormat actually. This is me begging and I will take whatever they say will help me recover. And if they feed me horseshit every day, I will say grace and lick my plate when I'm done.

Anna, I don't think I've run across anyone on this site more determined and willing to get sober than you! Your courage amazes me. Try to be nice to the nursing staff, LOL.

You will not have access to a phone in rehab I would think. I have been at my share of rehab(s) and none allowed cell phones.

I am so glad to hear this Anna! Good for you! Your determination and strength is really starting to show.. how does that go? "The WANT has to be more than the NEED. I knew for a very long time that I was/am an alcoholic and my life had become unmanageable. I knew that in order to live , I had to get sober.. knowing these things and actually doing something about it is entirely different. I eventually WANTED to get sober and then the miracles started to happen! We will all be thinking of you and look forward to talking in about a month or so.. =) PROUD of you!!!

Anna, I think this is a great decision on your part. It's a big step and I'm proud of you that you have the guts and strength to take it.

As others have said -- don't worry about the money right now. Just focus on you and getting healthy.
