Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hi all, not been here for a while, I was doing really well on 10 days and now I have messed up again and it seems worse this time around! The miscarriage really got to me in the end and I found comfort in the bottle and now I am back to drinking daily again! Really annoyed at myself and my family are so appalled at me. I don't think I can do it

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

If your transmission or engine blew out, you wouldn't try doing it yourself. You'd get yourself the finest team of mechanics.
You've endured a lot of pain and there are great women in the AA program who may have the same experience as you.
I hope you find your way back to a meeting.
So grieve.
On drinking -- don't give up. You can get and stay sober. and you can go through ANYTHING sober.
the women in AA, and the program helped me see and believe in that a day at a time.
Being in the presence of others who have suffered from the same trauma, can be a source of comfort and inspiration. You will find such women at AA meetings. When you are hurting, don't be afraid to share because there are lots of women willing to help. Rely on them instead of the bottle and you will gain a sense of purpose and reasons for living.
I will pray for you.
God Bless
I drank everyday -- A LOT -- and quit without AA. If I can do it, then so can you -- AA is not a requirement. (Frankly for me, it was depressing and the opposite of helpful.) So don't think for a moment that if you don't go you will fail. You might consider going to a counselor -- talking one-on-one with a trained professional might be helpful to you.
I was hiding my drinking so would drink most of the day on my days off and quit a little before my family came home. There was a lot of shame and lying going on. It can be done.
