Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
How is everybody doing? Are you staying sober? I am working a lot, and my ego keeps complaining about it. I forget that I am working for others as a life principle.
I also forget that many people do not have jobs right now and I should be grateful that mine is a great one.
The good news is I haven't forgotten I am an alcoholic and I am up working on that through this post, despite being exhausted from work. My unchecked ego focusing on the little irritating details of what I must do to keep my work stable also isn't helping. My ego is unchecked because the coronavirus has prevented me from going to the meeting I was going to daily. My ego has also gone in the direction of laziness is acceptable, and work is not as great as it used to be because I haven't gone to the gym, in 4 months after going consistently for years.
Going to meetings and going to the gym are two huge parts of my recovery, and as long as I do both, my spiritual life progresses in the right direction. I guess my higher power wanted me to experience some wrong through no fault of my own so I could appreciate the right more so in the future. Accepting that has made our relationship stronger, I know my higher power has complete control over the world, and that I am his child and will be lead and loved unconditionally.
What things are you having to change and then accept that might be uncomfortable, but also might be best for the future in regards to you staying sober?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I spend many days working well into the evening. It's crazy. I should be happy and I am but I also need to live a more balanced life.
God Bless
