Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Now you've got me thinking about Dove bars!

The next morning passers by see him covered in chocolate in the fetal position with a huge grin on his face...lol! This is how I picture Olive in a few hours...hahaha!
It is true though, I am VERY addictive by nature and what with psych meds that make cravings for carbs/sugar SO MUCH worse (not an excuse, some are really bad for food cravings etc and some for metabolism - trust me!!). I've started on a new healthy eating regime which is going really well. My psychologist suggested the time honoured strategy of just having a little bit of chocolate. Hell Yeh!! I simply cannot eat a small amount of chocholate - I always eat a whole Family Block, or it it's ice-cream a whole family tub. Exactly the way I drank - one's too many and a thousand's not enough. I explained to her for the Nth time that Iam a food addict - just like I am an alcoholic - and certain substances trigger my brain chemistry to say MORE......................
There is no Harm Minimisation strategy that would work with booze for me - and the same with chocolate and ice-cream. So, no chocolate or ice-cream for me -but lots of other yummy food so I'm not in depravation mode - in which I will always fail with food.
Great learnings about yet another substance, which has come about from being sober for a long time.
Roll on Easter Sunday then it will be Cadburys (English Cadburys...none of the world stuff) all the way.
I have my Cadburys Creme Egg ready :)))))))))
