Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
In my addiction, I was very self-centered and animals were even effected. I could not muster up enough strength to give adequate walks, baths, hygiene.
DO NOT do this to yourself, it will haunt you. If you are still in active addiction, run an AD, and see if you can get somebody to respond. Lie if you have to and tell them you are moving out of town, and you need them to have a good home.
Be responsible with your animals, you are all that they have.. They know no different. Go take them for a walk, practice love and patience, meanwhile produce some action.
I have a German Shepard/ Akita and his 1 year and four months Young. LOTS of Puppy in him still! He drives me inSANE! Sooo much energy! The only place we are safe from him jumping on us and wanting to play, play, play, play is when we sit here at the computer. Don't know why. He brings a squeeky toy to me to throw a million times, but doesn't jump on me. If I want to go in the living room to watch tv, he is alllll over me! Not a moments peace. I did punch him in the face one day, and he came back for more!!! I felt so bad!!! But he still came back for more!!! I couldn't believe it. I was crying, because I hit him, but the dummy came back for MORE!!! Talk about hard headed! lol
Breath deep! That's what I try to do (o;
I also had a dog that would poop in the same spot in the family room any time I left the house. Even if it was just to walk to the mail box. He was abused before we adopted him at the age of 2 years. He had abandonment issues that cause him to do that.
A vet may be able to diagnose the exact problem and suggest treatment options.
Good luck with this, it sounds as though you are concerned and love your furry babies a lot.
From the show, I learned that we try to treat dogs as our children, but a dog's mentality is quite different than a human's. Yes, they do need love and affection, but before that you have to be the pack leader with your dogs. The show's host insists that part of having a mentally healthy dog is walking them every day. He also says dogs pick up on the energies that their owner's give off, and react (in a dog's way) to those energies. This may be the case with you and your dogs.
Please watch the show or visit the website for you and your dog's sake.

SLOW DOWN! I realize this is days after the fact. But don't punish the dog(s) for urinating. I know it's easy to feel like you know why they or one of them is doing it, but you're not the dog, you are the human, the caretaker, and the way your mind thinks may not be (and probably is not) the way their mind thinks. They are not doing it to get back at you. The 12 year old dog is having incontinence problems. The dogs are confused. There are a lot of changes happening. Your disciplining them in a loud manner is only adding to the problem. Don't assume the dogs "see" things the way YOU do.If you cannot deal with your anger with the dogs then I recommend you call a local shelter and be honest why you want to bring them in. I appreciate your candidness about how angry you are at them. It's HARD to deal with animals that seem to be conspiring to undermining you. But the animals are not that malicious or sneaky. They only want to please. good luck, please contact me if you continue having problems or need to vent.
Vet appt should be a priority.
Anger management another top.
Your baby is getting old and you are upset.
Use vinegar water to clean up the pee spots. They hate that smell and it disinfects.
Talk softly and calm down. Together.
I got a new kitty recently, the dog and the cat have been making me mental with their antics, some funny, mostly irritating. Peeing on the rug is one the dog does to let me know he don't like my attitude, the cat is just retarded.
I was havin' a shower, minding my own business when I felt a small furry body land on my feet. The kitten has been admonished 100's of times about staying out of the bathroom and doesn't listen. Bet he will now, he couldn't get out of the tub and I blasted him with the shower massage.
I know this has no answer to your anger issue other than trying for a laugh. I was writing about anger in my journal and your post caught my eye.
Have to admit though, nothin' funnier than aan angry wet kitten. Have a great 24
