Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I'm sober for 5 days and I can't get rid of the headache. I go to bed with it and wake up with it. Coffee in the morning helps but I don't want to take in caffeine as the day progresses. I'm okay with taking Tylenol but wondering if this is a common side effect of stopping alcohol intake. Thank you!

I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

There are many symptoms that accompany withdrawal from alcohol and a headache can be one of them. It will probably get better in a few days but the best person to talk to is your doctor, who is qualified to give the right information and treatment.
Withdrawal can be dangerous for some people so it is better to rely on the professionals than on the word of us amateur physicians on the internet.
I love what @PJ52 said, but whenever we see any addictive behavior, it’s so much more than a mental state of addiction as it holistic affects our body, mind and soul. So there are some physical consequence and symptom that surfaces and one of them is what you’ve just mentioned as you’ve taken the substance away from your body. I will say though still going to see a doctor will probably help for sure!
I will just encourage you to not given in to fix the headache you’re facing. Our minds for sure can play tricks and try to justify our thoughts and reasoning.
Praying for you!
