42 today. This will be the first
sober one in a LONG time. Last year I struggled, tried, and failed. I am proud to celebrate one year of sobriety in 3 more days and encourage anyone else in this journey to be strong . If I can make it, anyone can. God bless you all and best of luck on your paths. Sobriety is more than worth it.

Thanks to all. I feel like a year isn't much compared to the YEARS I spent in my own drunken world. Realizing what a selfish sonofbitch alcoholism is helped me realize I needed change. I couldn't go on cheating my family and myself. It's been tough at times but greatly rewarding to not take that first drink. The support here has helped. To anyone just starting out like me a year ago, stick with it! Don't let it rob you of everything. There is a world outside the bottle that much better enjoyed sober. Believe it!

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
