Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

This is the time of day that's hardest... Sometimes I say, Who am I fooling? & I get a drink. How do I tell myself I'm serious this time!? What are some good strategies? I'll carry my water bottle, and tell myself I just need to stay dry another couple hours; then it gets easier, usually, later in the evening.

I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

The following comes from a chapter called: Using the 24-hour plan.
“Even if we drank yesterday, we can plan not to drink today. We may drink tomorrow – who knows whether we’ll even be alive then? – but for this 24 hours, we decide not to drink. No matter what temptation or provocation, we determine to go to any extremes necessary to avoid drinking today.”
Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and getting past the beer cooler aisles is my next challenge.
