Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I know it's only been a few days, but yesteray morning and this morning, I noticed that I was able to get much more done than usual, in much less time, and with a better attitude. I never drank every night, but I certainly drank often enough that I recognize the kind of morning I can expect. I was never so hung over that I couldn't function, but I was often sluggish and unmotivated. I got through the day, but often didn't accomplish what I 'd hoped to. Maybe my focus on stopping for good is the reason that this was a bit more noticable than usual, but whatever the reason, it felt good, and this is how I'd like all mornings to be. Thanks for listening. : )

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I remember when I quit drinking, I had horrible feelings of loss and isolation which no pill could cure. It was without a doubt, the toughest stretch of my recovery. Without the support I had, I never would have made it.
Whenever you get a craving, think about how good you feel right now and ask yourself how bad do I want to erase that good feeling and replace it with being sluggish and unmotivated.......Then you will know what to do.
Congrations on your recovery and God Bless
I love my clear mind. I was always bad with names and now I want to remember them. It's like I didn't care enough before which is kinda sad.
For me it's like Christmas morning everyday. A gift I give myself.
I'm viewing the fact that I joined this group as message to me, from me, that it's time do put drinking behind me once and for all, and, as the best Christmas present possible. Thank you all, and have a wonderful day.
Forget that question. I am happy to hear that you had a productive and great day yesterday, keep doing what works!
