  Hi everyone. Just checking in. I had a productive work week and worked on my bridge project for my favorite trail. It's a four mile loop trail that has Connecticut river view, salt ponds, and a variety of New England forest. The bridge was washed out in a past flood so I brought in native cedar and rebuilt the stone work. I set the beams and will do the guardrails this weekend. 
  I feel good about my life and just remembered that today is 51 sober months. No coincidence:)

Project sounds like your just doing it on your own which is great way to give back. Hope it holds up a long time

congrats on 51 sober months, one day I will be able to say that, the bridge project sounds fantastic, can you post some pics, would love to see it. What a great thing you are doing, lots of other people will benefit, and admire the beautiful bridge you have built. It sounds like that spot would be a little piece of heaven, standing on the bridge and appreciating all the nature around you.
It is Saturday here, about to go and see my horses and feed them carrots, there is lots of grass so no hard feed needed until winter. Enjoy your day!

Yes, I’m doing it as a good will gift. This is one of the two trails that helped me on sobriety. Every time I walked by the old bridge site and had to scramble over the stream or get wet if the water was up I would think about doing the project. This year I decided to make it happen.
I will take some pictures and put them up.
