I don't think that issues in alcoholism change really.The people with the issues change, but that is why AA says experience, strength and hope.

i think you are being a bit harsh, i don't know if i am guilty of this terrible crime and to be honest I don't care if i am. People should be free to reply to whatever posts they want to, whatever helps, helps

Posts are posts if they will help others, to help themselves, then theres no problem. The Bible, the Big Book are both old and we dont say oh no not that again. It's take what you need in recovery and if you don't need it leave it; someone else may find it useful.

As we all know theres nothing in the guidelines that state old posts are off limits. There's something for everyone here and if some like old post good. It all helps. I think that everyone on DS would like the thought that, a post you posted two years ago was still doing what it was meant to do and thats help or inspire.

Perhaps the tone of this thred was misintrepted??? Advice, a suggestion. I did not realize that a swarm of hypersensitive bed wetters was going to consume this. My purpose for this thread: Old threads are a great source of information. Most people cut and paste things from past threads that may be relavent in a current situation. Under no pretense did I intend to hurt anyones feelings.

I did notice one constant. The same questions being asked then are being asked now. Joe I'm not sure I agree with your methods but I did get your point. I will try to get rid of the resentment I have because you BURIED MY POSTS.

Yes of course it may be. It is free thread. Post away. I know I will. I was just pointing out that some new people, unknowingly were replying to old threads. But yes, I was trying to help, I must have come off wrong. Strange how the content of the old threads is so similar to todays.

What is considered an old charge?

We can talk about new stuff, or old stuff as if it is new. Or we can dredge up old stuff to keep the topics going.

What else is there? I know I am missing at least one?

it seems that YOU are the one starting up the OLD posts, you seem to be the first current comment on each OLD post that I have read, so maybe you need to take your own advice if you do not want to be reading old posts? Just a thought, you can do whatever you want.

but then again some old post's can still have relevance today. Alcoholism is the same old best, no matter old or new.

has alcoholism changed? Are the questions and answers different today than they were in the past.....? will I be cured in the future?
