Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I have been going to AA meetings per the suggestion of my therapist, and I have found that I like them. Right now I am 19 days sober. Today has been a struggle. I've wanted to drink at so many moments. So far I ahve managed to stay sober and only have 2 1/2 more hours until I am able to get to a meeting. What are some things that help you stay sober during difficult times?

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Good luck on your road to recovery and may your Higher Power walk with you and guide you along the way!
God Bless!
Now I enjoy family time with my kids, enjoy travel and have hobbies that I enjoy like photography. The gym is also great for confidence, at your own pace.
