Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. I had just finished doing a brake job on our car. My brother in law has all the air tools a weekend mechanic could possibly need. Working shirtless under a 95 degree sun made me incredibly thirsty.
When I finished the the job I joined the rest of the family on the deck, swinging on the deck swing. Everyone was talking, having a great time, and drinking beer. I am going through a divorce so felt like shit anyway.
Nobody asked me if I wanted a drink. They all know I am an AA member. Man, when you combine fatigue, physical pain, thirst, and depression together, you get a craving sooooo bad you want to give into it!
But I didn't!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I don't know too many people over the years who haven't been through a divorce - Once I got busy working hard, making new friends and going to night school, my life became very exciting. (and I did not want the divorce)
