Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
WhooHoo
There comes a time in our lives, when we get older and I am there, where death is not a horror. It's a part of life. I don't remember the last time I cried over an old human being dying. I'm not sure if I ever have. Old people are supposed to die. That's the way life is supposed to be, right? Of course it's right. The only way to die old is to get old first.
It's kinda funny going to an old person's funeral.
There aren't that many old friends there. They be dead already and they're looking around who's going to be next. Cuz it's true. Do they cry? Nope. Their tears have already been streaming down their noses and shirt shoulders for so many years of seeing the young ones that die that seeing an older person, like them, should die and that's a good thing.
And when you get older,,,,,death is always a mystery...but we know it's a NATURAL part of life.
I didn't shed a tear when my gf's husband died. Not a tear. I loved the man. We were friends. But when you get older you see death more often. That's a fact of life. Sometimes it takes a sad breath from my body but I don't cry anymore about it. I look at it more spiritual.
My Ma and I talk about death.
I asked her, "What do I get"?
I suppose I get this opal ring. It's a very beautiful fire opal but I'm like...okay...what else??? No comment. Guess I don't get anything else. I get a ring from a mother that allowed my father to rape me and my sisters.
I would like at least $10k from their property that is paid for.
I'm digressing here....
The fact of the matter is we die and the longer we live the closer that fact is and it's no big deal and there is no way to stop it.
So let your loved ones go on as they were meant to be. Whether young or old.
Miss them, Love them, Hold them in your heart.
But move it on and celebrate their lives if you really loved them. Celebrate with foods they loved or just have conversations about them.
I love talking about the irritating old granny in my life, but you know what? She's alive in my heart and I say goodnight to her noisy self every night.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I just say goodnight to her. I don't need to say God bless her. She's already there.
I say God bless to us earthlings.
Goodnight to the rest.
When I'm really, really lazy
I just say
okay
God bless and goodnight to everyone in the world living and dead.
That's after saying goodnight to little Dana.
Say goodnight to the 12 apostles.
Ya gatta name them first.
I'm at 8 and bored and I imagine snoring.
I can do 10 apostles if you allow me Judas. I know he was replaced but I can't think of the replacement's name offhand. Was it a second Matthew? I think I need a nap.
Ya gotta go by memory.
That's when I fall asleep. LOL
I ain't giving you clues either. And you can't look in the bible.
That's a cheatin and we don't stand for a cheatin around here.
I don't want to continue offending people here, but I do want to pass along this story, not only because it parallels my own in many ways, but also for the few who may find it intriguing:
