Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

One of the stories that has kept me straight all this time was a friend who had 14 went out. Booze and coke. He’s got 12 again. His story sticks with me.
Glad you’re here. Sorry you’re drinking again. I hope you find your way back to sobriety.
If you are drinking again it's a sign you need to change something? What is that something?
I think the correct way of looking at your relapse would be to survey the powerlessness of it becoming a threat, it actually happening, and now what to do next.
I know recently I cut out avenues of spiritual development and helping others for an agenda to build wealth and serve money. At the time I thought I was doing the right thing. I now have knowledge of what not to do to share with others coming after me. Don't let your relapse exist in vain, use it to help others, the literature says something along the lines of, if looked at correctly our dark past can create bright futures for others in terms of what not to do.
Lately the fact that I do not have a family of my own, do not have a real career I can feel fulfilled by, and am alone all the time has brought me to a point of despair. For me despair equals depression, but I know participating in serving, and playing the role God needs me to, which will include helping young people not make the same mistakes I did, gives me hope.
I have to get rid of my resentment though, and they block me from fulfilling the wants and wishes of my higher power. So you might want to start there, with a commitment to letting the relapse help someone who will need to get past the 14 year mark one day, and also to see if there was a resentment you had yet to give to God for clarity that catalyzed the false feeling of need to drink.
Thank you for your honesty.
