Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I went in inpatient for 30 days last year. I started drinking again because I feel nothing in life. There is nothing I want to live for and I feel everyone will get over it and get on with their lives. I'm so tired of the struggle and pain and loneliness. I am a worthless, pathetic human being that only brings people down in life.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It doesn't sound like you are asking us for advice so I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers,
God Bless
No matter how bad things may look, please know that there is hope. There are so many stories about people who were where you are now and who have turned their lives around completely. If those people can do it, so can you.
I cannot tell you what to do and it may indeed be the case that you will need to approach the problem from several sides. Depression and childhood issues are things that require professional help but they can be worked through. You can also play a big part in helping yourself but you need a guiding hand to show you the way. While Alcoholics Anonymous may not be to everyones liking, it does offer a great support mechanism that would help you on your journey. AA also offers a programme of recovery that is designed to deal with living issues. It would help you to deal with the past (in conjunction with the professionals) and would allow you to improve your self-confidence and self-worth.
You have described yourself in very negative terms but I am willing to bet that you are warm, loving and have so much to offer. You are not a bad person trying to get good but a sick person trying to get well. Dry up the tears and take some positive action today. Maybe an AA meeting would be a good starting point.
