Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I realized that it wasn't that i was doing anything wrong to achieve sobriety but i wasn't doing everything that I could.
Going to AA and sitting in meetings wasn't going to keep me sober.I got a sponsor, got a big book, and started working the steps.I don't even think about drinking today it just doesn't come to mind. That is a miracle.
Yes, I would start over. To thy own self be true.
I don't allow any booze in my home. If a friend wants to come over and see me then they can, but no booze.
You will be surprised how many real friends you have if you don't allow alcohol over.
It's been a few 24 hours for me and I still have that rule. I have all new friends too.
