i am so sick and tired of being angry and miserable along with not drinking, id rather be hungover and shaking, at least i know where my misery comes from. i try and use the website for help but every time i speak how i feel i get the feeling that people are sick of reading my posts. i know, i am a worthless piece of trash who is nothing more then a debbie downer every time i speak. well thanks for the support, if you want to even call it that. nobody understands that i hate this city and i refuse to goto a AA meeting and YET i am still barraged with "you should go" i even try to explain that i have social phobia and i am scared to death of people and i still get "you gotta try" well BULL-BUTTER. i cant do this alone and i have NOBODY in my city to help me. going to outpatient doesnt mean i can go to these other places, because i wont. so i guess i am not willing to do what it takes, so i guess when i get my money this week its back to vodka-ville cause i am not happy, nor will i ever be. god is punishing me with everything he can and i will die drunk, alone in some gutter, that is my ultimate destiny...life is a waste of time, thanks alot almighty one for putting me here because i am sick of it and i want out
You said you feel you are letting people down because you can't call the local AA helpline. Who are you letting down? If you want to go to AA and feel like you can't make the call or do what you can to get to a meeting, then that's a problem that you should address. If you don't want to use the AA program and have other support in place to help you stay sober, such as IOP, then no problem -- don't go to AA.
That's YOUR choice -- you do what you need to in order to get and stay sober. AA is not a requirement and plenty of us get and stay sober with other programs or no program at all.
Take care of you, first and foremost, and do what you need to to get and stay healthy and sober.
Take one hour at a time - forget the past and focus on your health and happiness for the future. We are all here rooting for you. I am sorry I don''t live close so you could have someone to help you, but I think you are doing just great on your own.
My father was bent on drinking and living life his way - wasn't working at all! He went to AA and was sober for 23 years until he passed away. I swear I still think it was a miracle - we had tried everything. Take good care.
I only try to share my experiences becuz seeing people die gets real old, and I truly care about people with addiction problems.
I will share differently. My higher power came in the form of a circuit court judge that did for me what I simply couldn't do. Maybe she was working for a huge power?!?!?!
I do know that once you get so freakin ill of being sick, happiness is available. You can be free in a nine feet room with four concrete walls, the desert, or on a sunny beach. It doesn't matter where yer at.
This is coming from a man that breaks down at least every other week, breaks down to my knees, looks up, and simply says PLEASE HELP ME. I look up to a God, that I do not even understand.
. I did move to Cleveland once and i was in jail within 10 days. Thats when I to,, thought Indianapolis was my problem.
Sorry, and I understand about dirt bag cities.
