Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
But the answer is no. Ten to one you were born with the alcoholic gene turned to the "on" position. You are really allergic to alcohol and what is happening is that your having an allergic reaction to it.
Save yourself years of strife and just accept the fact that you cannot drink. The good news is that there is a great life to be had without alcohol, you just have to eliminate it from yours. Eric
So I knew. I could either drink like I craved, as dictated by my disease and I'd get pass out drunk. Or...I could have one or two and feel even more anxious, pissed off, and discontent.
It took alott of trial and error and black or brown outs before I was able to admit that I'm alcoholic. Once I knew that to my core, I knew I couldnt have one or two so again...why would I try?
