Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Congrats on new job hopefully stepping up in pay and such the likes
Drink lots of water, eat decent meals, and get sleep when you are tired.
So how about it? Are you finally ready to quit? Is this it? I hope so... One thing I found when I quit that life got so much better i was kicking myself that I waited so long to quit.
The only way I found to stop it was to get busy doing something else. I go to a 430 meeting when I used to go to the bar.
And the weirdest thing happened when I quit the booze. I stopped being depressed, It was like a magic bullet. The thing that I thought was the answer was the problem.
Break the chain.

Was there a reason why you stopped going to AA?
Were you working the program when you went out?
I hope you made it through the night without drinking.
With the new job, sounds like an ideal time for you to give sobriety another try. We're here to help as much as we can and don't hesitate to try the AA meeting again if it helps. They will understand and be glad you checked in.
There is a better life for you, trust me. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it!

I thought about have some wine tonight and shifted my thinking to that I have a busy day tomorrow and was pretty bushed.
JEFFNEEDS: I did attend AA mainly open meetings for some time and with some consistency. I'd say it was more of attending vs working a program. I do have friends from AA.
FAIRLISE & ROBERTAL - I know that's true. For now, when I do attend a meeting, I'm simply listening and of course, being cordial.
If not tomorrow, I'm likely to go back to any number of 7:30am meetings close to home. Fortunately, there are some that are also all of 5 minutes to work and where I work, most people don't show up until after 9am!! Heck, I can stop for a coffee afterwards and still be on the early side
