I think my posts yesterday was a bit too wordy.  I'll try to keep it simple today.  I woke up, prayed, read, and now will go to a meeting.  Hopefully all of that will be strong enough to ignore the relentless information my ego is constantly flooding my mind with.  The problem is most of it in a court of law, 12 peers would agree would be valid complaints, but the greater truth is all of it I created and I am powerless over it.  


More surrender today, more humility today, more "pausing", more being ok with not knowing, more humility.

Good things happen to those who stay sober! My AA sponsor told me that nearly 12 years ago..........I will be working much of the weekend. I prayed for a big job and I got one! God is good......Life is good!

I will miss my 8:00 Sunday morning meeting...it is currently Sunday 4:51 AM eastern daylight time...but for a good cause...babysitting my almost 3 year old grandson as his parents load a truck for their move. One of the regulars at that meeting often says, "My mind feeds me bad information. I will be ok missing the meeting; I was told in my first year of sobriety, ten years ago, that if you know when your next meeting is (tomorrow morning), you will be ok.

The importance of meetings after I conceded to the fact that I was delusional in not accepting my alcoholism and it’s needed treatment going forward, is impossible to describe in words.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
