Lately I have really been struggling with my roomates addiction. He is becoming more and more aggressive and im not sure how to approach the situation. This has been going on for two years now and its only getting worse. His addicition is now impacting others around him but he doesnt acknowledge that he has a problem. Should I bring it up? Im not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I would definitely speak to him privately about your observations, the impact on your relationship as a friend and roommate. Ultimately, however, your roommate has to make the decision to get help. If he or she doesn't take your concern seriously, you might be prepared to look for another place to live if you find the behavior unacceptable. Sadly, most addicts are usually the last to realize they have a problem, even when confronted with evidence. Wishing you the best and please keep us posted.

You might want to wait until he is sober before you mention it to him/her. If you feel you are living in a dangerous situation then I would move out.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
