Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

First time in 2 years that I've been sober more then 2 nights! Today was a bad day though. I'm feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Just feeling too much. Make sense? I don't actually crave alcohol but just seem to be able to talk myself into drinking, "wow, this has been a lousy day, I deserve just one drink". No worries for tonight as I'm ready for bed....but am worried for tomorrow. Will try to stay tough.

I always like to visualize success in sports and in sobriety.
Early on Id visualize myself getting into bed, reading, doing a 10th step saying prayers and going to sleep sober....and each night I'd get there id feel peaceful.
Just take it a day or an hour at a time and you won't get too overwhelmed.
Do you have any sober friends to call or people you feel comfortable talking to about your feelings?
Sometimes, reaching out to others took my mind off of me. That's something else that worked for me.
Trust me. If I can get sober, anybody can.
