Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hi everyone!
I'm 23 years old.I've been drinking for 3 years.during the past year i've been drinking a six pack of 4.7% alcohol beer 3,4 times a week.
But during the last month it's been everyday.I also suffer from panic disorder.I'm really scared.I read an article about Delirium Tremens(DT's) and I'm scared.
Is it possible for a person at my age (23) to have a DT if I quit drinking?please help me.I can't sleep. I can't relax.the only thing that I think about is if I don't drink I might have a DT.
p.s: there is no detox center in my town.

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

For me, my anxiety, obsessive compulsions, fears and irrational thinking all resolved themselves when I quit drinking. That is just me, though many on here will tell you that it was the same for them.
See a doctor when you are ready to get your life back and stop living in fear. Launch your recovery off of a sound foundation.
SPOT-ON, Abshoe.

And yeh abshoe, right on with your answer.
Stop drinking, see your doctor who will help with the anxiety, and get support to stay sober. AA is a great place to find that support.
I almost died from my addiction because I thought I need that poison to get me through the day! When I ended up in the hospital on deaths doorstep for 3 scary days, my family was devastated!
If you have family that cares about you, don't keep torturing them with your drinking and get the help you need to go on living!
You should be less afraid of a little anxiety and more afraid of dying from drinking...which you will in time if you continue to drink!
The choice is yours!
Good Luck!
