Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

How to explain this? One of the most powerful triggers to drink for me is having to do something I don't particularly like, house chores, working in the shop. If I do it while drinking (not too much of corse), I do the job with ease and without being frustrated. Why does this happens? It should be the opposite. The other way to escape this is not doing the job. I don't feel the same way doing my regular job. It looks like a drink helps me pass through the tipping point of initiating the task.
How to deal with this? Any thoughts?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

or..I will go buy myself something...or I will go visit my favorite person...I used to be the same way...needed a boost to do things I didn't like...but my progression with alcohol led to thinking if I had a drink I would do something..but ended up doing LESS....
God Bless!
