Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

I was seen in the hospital this past week for what was determined to be anxiety and "deconditioning". I just knew I was having heart issues. They said no...that i was going through deconditioning. I went home and looked on the internet. Boy does that freak me out. Because I have Agoraphobia, anxiety and don't get out, therefore don't get much exercise...i now have this "syndrome". My body has lost it's strength, ability to hold up to doing very much at all without getting winded and to top it off, this makes me extremely anxious. Being up doing too much makes my back hurt. So..i have been told that I have to work at getting back into shape. I am by myself during the day and am overweight, of course. I have, in the past 2 months, started a new way of eating. I have lost about 20 pounds and have a lot more to go. My day usually consists of a lot of internet time, sleeping and odd jobs around the house. Tomorrow I'm going to have to make some changes. I have no idea what...but i'm going to start by walking laps around my great room. Have to do something. I'm trying hard not to let the edges of depression creep in.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
