Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

a panic attack griped me in the middle of wallmart. Its been a long time since I had one, and when I did I just exited the store and sat down outside after being asked for donations I wasnt about to give. I hardly had the nerve to pass through the tight isle and not feel self conscience. It made it difficult to face the coming weekend. But I Dont see it as some kind of set back. Its normal for me. I calmed myself down by taking deep gulps of air, no matter I was ok. I met my father and sister outside. ANd from there we went to a diner. Still Ok I was able to have fun with my family and still keep it together. So in all it was positive experience. In the end I was safe and secure knowing I am lucky.

I am sorry that you had a bad panic attack. I know have those are not fun to have. I have panic attack too. All you can do is try to relax and I know sometime that do not help.

I'm sorry to hear you had a panic attack but sounds like you handled it pretty well and are being positive about it and not allowing it to effect you so deeply, which is a great thing! You were still able to go to dinner afterwards and aren't seeing it as a setback, be proud of that. Hope the nexed few days are better for you:)

I think the fact that you went to dinner after the attack in Walmart is a HUGE accomplishment. Good for you!!

I'm going to sound repetitive but I do have to mention again that it is easier to do things you want to than have to. They may seem the same, but one is negative and one is positive.

On Saturday, while I was at yard sales with my best friend, my lawn guy texted me that he did my lawn. This costs me $70 every two weeks or so. I don't have great grass so sometimes, he skips. Anyway, I paid him on CashApp when I got home. On Sunday morning, he texted me again, to say goodbye because he was moving. My little thinking cap went on and I thought about how I am healthier...
