Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."
It makes me mad and has crippled me socially that I can't seem to get the right expression on my face. I've had people tell me that talking to me is like talking to Mr. Spock from Star Trek, that I'm cold and you can never tell what I'm thinking or feeling, which apparently makes others uncomfortable. It's frustrating, I'm very kind and sympathetic, I truly and honestly feel for others, but I can't seem to get that across in social interactions without seeming weird.
OH yeah I feel your pain wild...
