Agoraphobia & Social Anxiety Support Group
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

Hi!
I'm Jessica, and I just joined. I have Social Anxiety Disorder and Agoraphobia, along with quite a few other issues. I have not left my house on my own in 4 years, I can only go out if my husband is present. I do not drive anymore because my license expired, and I will have to take the driver's test again, alone in the car with a stranger.
I'm looking for support and friends. I was told I might benefit from an online support group, since I can't attend a physical group. I currently am trying to train a dog I adopted to be a Service Dog, so that I can have some independence, and also to do some medical tasks. So far, it is going very slowly, but I have high hopes that some day I will be able to train him well enough to go out on my own with him. I also have two tabby cats that I love very dearly. My pets honestly have gotten me through my worst days.
I love reading, playing games on Xboxone, Wiiu, and PS3, art, music, and watching movies. I have a good sense of humor, and I am a loyal friend, once I actually meet a person. That's about it for me.

Welcome to the group I hope it helps you I'm not quite as bad as this as I have to walk to a bus stop every day to meet a friend with immense difficulty and any other time I go out which is very rarely I have to stick with really close friends or take my dog because it's the only way that take my mind of it.

I'm new to this support group too. I get really anxious and nervous when I have to venture outside by myself. I understand how you feel, even though I'm not at the same degree as you. I still am able to go outside, it's that I don't feel comfortable in doing so.

On Saturday, while I was at yard sales with my best friend, my lawn guy texted me that he did my lawn. This costs me $70 every two weeks or so. I don't have great grass so sometimes, he skips. Anyway, I paid him on CashApp when I got home. On Sunday morning, he texted me again, to say goodbye because he was moving. My little thinking cap went on and I thought about how I am healthier...
