Adult Bedwetting Community Group
A place for adults who still have problems wetting the bed to talk about their feelings, to discover solutions, and to talk about life in general.
Hi Everyone,
My name is Sarah and I'm glad I found this group. It seems like a fair amount of people still struggle with bedwetting, but it isn't talked about all that much. I appreciate the chance to be here to to share my experiences.
I'm 23 years old and still wet the bed about 3-4 nights per week. It's been really hard for me over the years, and my bladder is super overactive. It's embarrassing to still wake up wet. I've tried using alarms, medication, and therapy, but so far nothing has helped. I think I'll always wet the bed, which is really unfortunate. It's made my dating situation complicated (to say the least!)
Fortunately, I don't struggle too bad during the day. I have to go pee pretty frequently, but I don't have accidents very much. It seems like most people with this problem tend to struggle just at night. Anyways, it's relieving to find a group I can talk to.

I've just been updating my profile information because I had a birthday last week, and so I'm now 25 instead of 24. It doesn't feel any different though!Just so you all know a bit about me: I suffer with anxiety and occasional panic attacks, and sometimes I do an accidental wee in bed while I'm asleep. Now I'm a year older than this time last week I can report that nothing has changed, although I...

My name is Ben and I'm 28. I had a brain bleed from being born premature and have some developmental and learning disabilities. In addition, I got diagnosed with autism and tourette's syndrome 2 years ago after I lost my job.
Anyway, because of my medical conditions I have trouble knowing I need to go to the bathroom until Im almost having a bladder or bowel accidents or Im already having an accident. At night I don't get the signals for either at all. I tried therapies, a bedwetting nasal spray medication, some overactive bladder medications, and bedwetting alarms growing up, but they diddn't help either.
So, Im embarrassed to admit I've always had to wear GoodNItes (pull ups) during the day and use a bathroom reminder timer to help prevent accidents. I'm even more embarrassed to admit I had to switch to these bulky tape on medical diaper things in high school. (my problem being a preemie is Im too small for Depends so when GoodNites stopped working at night, In unfortunately had to switch to nighttime medical diapers.)
It helps me a lot knowing their is a group of people who have the same issues.
It must've been difficult to navigate your teenage years with this problem, can't relate there but can say don't over stress about not being accepted when it comes to dating. Some people just can't handle it and if they can't see past it then it's their loss. I've had past relationships not work out because of it but someone who likes you for who you are will be worth the wait, probably stating the obviousbut hope you find some help here :)
Well done for posting :)
I've tried lots of things to get better, but during the summer I want to try again maybe with alarms and I have an appointment with a nurse next week.
In the day I definitely need the loo more often than most people, maybe ten times a day, and it's usually urgent. Usually I can manage but I still have leaks or accidents if I can't wait or find anywhere to go etc.
I've been like this all my life, it's super embarrassing but I hope I can maybe help other people with this issue and get support here too.
