Addison's Disease Support Group
Addison's disease (also known as chronic adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism) is a rare endocrine disorder. It is estimated that it affects about 1 to 2 in 100,000 people. It occurs when the adrenal glands, seated above the kidneys, fail to produce enough of the hormone cortisol and, sometimes, the hormone aldosterone
I hope you find an answer to this problem!
I know this response is a little late and I hope you're feeling much better by now. I was just wondering if you'd checked your B12 levels. I think that can cause ringing in the ears and various fatigue issues. The other thing would be your thyroid. I had muscle twitches all the time before I got on the correct dosage of both thyroid and hydrocortisone. Even at that, it took quite a while for my system to catch up. I still have them now when I get tired or dehydrated.
Good luck and hang in there.
I found your post! I'm so glad that you found something that works, at least somewhat. I'll have to ask my doc or at the pharmacy, if it's availale here, because I have a terrible time in the warm/hot months, with overheating, and maybe that would help.
I now am thinking that my inner vibrations and shuddering is some kind of infection...maybe Lyme, because I'm having other symptoms now. Time for some tests.
Feel better! xo
