I am wondering if anyone here knows whether we should get a pneumonia shot for bacterial pnumonia, and whether it would do any good? My dad has had one, and that led me to wonder about us. If I can get hold of my doc, I'll ask him as well.
I think your right about it lasting 10 years, except in older folk, who should get a booster every five years. Maybe I'll get one...suppose it can't hurt.
I was always told that we couldn't get the flu shots, due to our immune systems or something, but now they are recommending them. My dad had one last year, and still came down with it. I'll probably get one of those as well, anyway.

Well, from what I understood, some doctors thought we wouldn't be able to make the neccessary antibodies, and that the flu shots would be useless. But now the NADF is saying to get them. I think they're not sure how well they work for us, but that we might as well do so, in case we would benefit from them.
