Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
That is the spirit that is needed right now. Full speed ahead. Please believe me that all of the bad is gradually replaced by the good and finally the excellent. Soon, you, Hayley, and Jimmy will all see that light at the end of the tunnel. You are all very close right now and if you squint, you'll begin to see it
Love to all of you,
CLIFF
I've been burning up the road between Nashville and Saltillo, ms (200+ miles) the last 3 months while taking care of an 11
and 6 year old but it's been worth every second of it.
She will have her final testing and bmb done on sept 30th and we hope to be home for good by that Friday oct 4th.
I scan the site every few days to follow your stories. I have seen an influx of new stories and it breaks my heart because we were right where you are in May of 2012 and I know how it feels. Just hang in there and battle and pray is all I can say.
Take care,
Shane
It is so, so good to hear from you and to know that Hayley's SCT is working out. Your family has just been through so much to get to this point - I am so happy that it sounds as if your toughest days are behind you and that you have every reason to look forward to a full recovery for Hayley and a return to happier days with your children.
Thanks so much for the wonderful update!
Robin
Blessings,
Julie
